Transcend
The Original work:
Acrylic on canvas.
Poem:
I was a caterpillar crawling on the top shelf.
Crystal tower,
honey flower,
electric power...
Present for one,
treasure for another,
all that was promised
never belonged to me...
4 days of rainfall...
1 for you
2 for us
3 for me
Eyes to the skies and I can finally see... I am the butterfly
on the fourth day I am free.
It’s been a year of quiet,
of calm,
of watering plants and watching them grow.
My war is no longer the wake of destruction my questionable decisions make.
Why still does my heart feel so uneasy?
My plants can’t speak
and even if they could they would never say how they would try to grow even in the absence of my love and affection.
A humble reminder that real love is both philanthropic and selfish.
We never know how who or what we love is experiencing when we love.
Empathy is built entirely on speculation.
There is little fighting doing it anyway.
This Art Print is 8"x10" on High-Quality Archival Paper.
